Confucius once said, “Study the past if you want to define the future”. As one of the five newly established colleges of the university, the new building stretches around the historical hostel block previously erected on site rather than tearing it down and building over. The result is an astonishing and seamless unification between history and present, composing a vivid continuum of academic and extracurricular development through the passage of time.

A prestige 49-storey residential skyscraper at the western end of Hong Kong Island with an unparalleled sea view over the outlying islands at sunset. To showcase a new trend of living in the city, the project experiments with color and visual continuity as architectural medium to blur the boundaries between contemporary living and the skylines of the islands at dusk.
